OK, I was never doing a Dry January.\u00a0 Lunar New Year is\u00a0a celebration that marks the beginning of the new year on the lunar calendar.\u00a0It&#8217;s also known as the <strong>Spring Festival<\/strong> (although it\u2019s not spring, even in China) or Chinese New Year.\u00a0 The Lunar New Year is celebrated in most Asian countries and communities except Japan.\u00a0 In <strong>Vietnam<\/strong>, it is called Tet, which translates into \u2018Festival\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may have already heard that 2025 is the <strong>Year of the Snake<\/strong>, not just a snake, but a Wood-Snake.\u00a0 On the surface, the year of the snake doesn\u2019t sound too promising, but it can be.\u00a0 The Snake symbolizes <strong>wisdom, good luck, prosperity, fertility, longevity, intuition and transformation while offering personal growth <\/strong>and <strong>change opportunities<\/strong>.\u00a0 It\u2019s also a good year for love and marriage but mediocre for health \u2013 avoid certain places (like hospitals, I guess) Hey, it can\u2019t all be good!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"297\" height=\"170\" src=\"https:\/\/fromabirdseyeview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/snake.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13218\" style=\"width:389px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Year of the Snake<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Unlike zodiac signs that we\u2019re familiar with that change approximately every 30 days during the course of a year, the Snake is the Chinese zodiac sign for everyone born this year and every year going back at 12-year intervals, like <strong>2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, 1965, 1953, 1941, 1939, 1927 <\/strong>\u2013 I think that covers everyone except those readers who are 102+. The other Chinese zodiac animals are:<strong> Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.&nbsp;<\/strong> You\u2019ll have to look up your birth year to determine the animal that you are and just what to expect this year.&nbsp; Snakes, known for their wisdom and intuition, find luck with the colors black, red, and yellow. These colors enhance their natural insight and charm. &nbsp;White and brown can bring bad luck, dulling their usually sharp instincts.&nbsp; In the NFL Super Bowl race, the Washington Commanders\u2019 colors are burgundy and gold, which is a lot like red and yellow . . . we\u2019ll see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chinese zodiac signs expected to experience excellent fortune this year include <strong>Ox, Dragon, Snake, Rat,<\/strong> and <strong>Rooster<\/strong> &#8211; are you one of those?
