We went looking for some good news as the paper we perused,<\/p>\n

Determined we could make a happy rhyme.<\/p>\n

We looked in every section from the headlines to Op\/Ed<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s the best of all that we could I find.<\/p>\n

–<\/p>\n

We found that household income reached its lowest point in years<\/p>\n

We thought perhaps the\u00a0figures were corrupt,<\/p>\n

But after sifting through the numbers we determined with a smile<\/p>\n

That the only place for us to\u00a0go is up.<\/p>\n

–<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Cubs are twenty games behind, their losing streak\u2019s intact,<\/p>\n

But they keep on filling\u00a0Wrigley Field with cheer.<\/p>\n

One hundred three years pass, without a Series win,<\/p>\n

But they keep saying, \u201cWait until next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

–<\/p>\n

Debates and White House\u00a0speeches fill TV\u2019s prime time slots;<\/p>\n

They help us choose who we should be approving.<\/p>\n

Sometimes they\u2019re fast and loose with facts, but the good thing we found out<\/p>\n

Is they tell the truth . . . unless their lips are moving.<\/p>\n
