\"'twas\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018Twas the night before posting and I had not a clue,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Should I write more of Christmas or the year that is new?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

My head\u2019s filled with carols that are driving me crazy<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

My shopping\u2019s not done and my blog thoughts are hazy.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

No travel this month or adventures been on<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And I\u2019m wondering if the creative juices are gone.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Could it be all the food and the drink I\u2019ve consumed<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s dulled all my senses?\u00a0 This week\u2019s blog is doomed!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Then a Grinchy idea popped into my head,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of some prose, I\u2019ll do rhyming instead.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This will be cinchy was my first lazy thought<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I started to write; and discovered it was not!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I remembered back when our subscriptions were low<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

When we tried to rhyme news that most readers don\u2019t know.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

So I still didn\u2019t have any subject to write,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

No people or places to shine a bright light.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Suzanne wrote last week of our holiday caper<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And I stooped to hawking some Trump toilet paper.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

What I now look to ponder is the day Christ was born<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And the glee of a child on a bright Christmas morn.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And looking to others to help where we can,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To enjoy peace on earth and good will towards all men.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Of families that gather by a warm Christmas fire<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And pray that our leaders will lead and inspire.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To thank all who serve, those brave women and men<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Whose Christmas with family they\u2019ll miss once again.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To share Christmas joy in the time that you spend,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For nothing replaces our family and friends<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

So to briefly conclude what I wanted to write,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
