<\/a>It\u2019s not often I ask for your help, but I need it now. I understood your lack of interest in my King Tut blog<\/strong> \u2013 he was a whinny, spoiled millennial (just from a different millennium), but when the \u2018hits\u2019 for Suzanne\u2019s<\/strong> adventure in Ireland<\/strong> dropped off like a prom dress, I knew something was amiss. I then heard from a friend who said that when he tried to open our blog he was told that if he opened it he would contract the Zeus virus<\/strong>. \u201cOh no!\u201d I said, not having the foggiest idea of what a Zeus virus was. All I knew was that Suzanne was in Ireland and has left me in charge of our blog website, and I\u2019ve somehow let them post a sign on our blog’s front door that read: VIRUS, KEEP AWAY – \u2018QUARANTINED’.<\/strong><\/p>\nThis is just great. \u00a0 Fortunately for me, Suzanne had discovered Guinness beer<\/strong>\u00a0while in Irel Nevertheless, I immediately leaped into action \u2013 OK, \u2018leaping into action\u2019 may be a bit of an overstatement; I actually just sat there dumbfounded and wondered \u2018what the hell is a virus and how did we get it?\u2019 I try to wash my hands every time after I go to the bathroom.\u00a0\u00a0 I felt certain that Google<\/strong> would have an answer for me, so I took a deep dive into polymorphic<\/strong>, multipartite<\/strong> and F.A.T. viruses<\/strong> \u2013 I was almost certain I had that FAT thing, but I digress. <\/a>and<\/strong> and after explaining to her that we had a virus that\u2019s shutting down our website, blocking our blog and ending our writing career, such as it is, she texted me back with, and I quote, \u201cI\u2019m in the Killarney Park Hotel bar and don\u2019t give a shit about the blog.\u201d<\/strong> That wasn\u2019t Suzanne talking, that was the Guinness talking.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/fromabirdseyeview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/WordPress-150x150.png\")
<\/a>through Google\u2019s virus explanation and asked myself, \u2018what if I find out that we have the dreadful \u2018Storm Worm\u2019<\/strong> virus, that Windows Trojan horse<\/strong> that forms the Storm Botnet?!!!<\/strong> I could be on a ten-foot ladder and that stuff would still go over my head. I needed professional\u00a0help; OK that\u2019s another story, but I mean I needed some tech help. Who do you call? Do I contact Facebook<\/strong><\/em>, where our blog appears? Or do I contact WordPress<\/strong><\/em>, who is the publishing platform? Or do I contact GoDaddy<\/strong><\/em>, where we got our domain name and is the website host? Or do I just look for some \u2018cookies\u2019<\/strong> and forget about the whole thing?<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/fromabirdseyeview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/GoDaddy-300x129.jpeg\")
<\/a>reply. I had a virus and I needed some immediate attention! As it turns out GoDaddy<\/strong> had a solution, for a small fee, they would scan for malware, adware, spyware and underwear, I think. OK, perhaps I don\u2019t completely understand all that went on and how we got the virus and how it was fixed, but we are now virus-free and encouraging you all to tune into Part II of Suzanne\u2019s Ireland trip<\/strong> next week. I will let her know that everything here ran like clockwork in her absence.<\/p>\n
