We know that all that 2020 brought us, doesn’t go away with the flip of a calendar page, although we will have a new president next week and no doubt the press will be kinder to him.\u00a0 But with the vaccine<\/strong> rolling out and no major holiday gatherings in the immediate future to bump up \u2018the curve\u2019<\/strong>, we have reason for optimism.<\/p>\n

I have observed that music has helped sustain many during this pandemic; so I thought I\u2019d share with you a few YouTube videos that were written during or about some of our more \u2018trying times\u2019 of the past and present.\u00a0 Hope you enjoy.<\/p>\n

Grace Potter\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0song, Eachother (words put together on purpose) is a song about the Corona-19 pandemic, which includes, among others,\u00a0Jackson Browne<\/strong>.\u00a0 This song, and the next, coincidently echo the word \u2018enough\u2019<\/strong> \u2013 sharing Suzanne\u2019s focus on it last week.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. This raw, emotional duet by Sara Bareilles<\/strong> (my favorite female artist, who co-wrote the song with Lori McKenna) and John Legend<\/strong>, is my favorite of this group of songs. In spite of the fact that the song was written a few years back about immigrants, if you listen to the lyrics, it fits today.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

I had to get a song that was a little more up-beat, with a positive thought as I didn\u2019t want to leave you in tears; so here\u2019s \"\"<\/a>an oldie but goodie from the Bee Gees<\/strong>.\u00a0 Incidentally there is a great documentary about this group on Netflix<\/strong> called, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Hope you\u2019re following their advice and . . .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
